RainGG is a live-production team from Norway based on voluntary work, and focuses on broadcasting tournament matches, from Super Smash Bros. events, to the Twitch platform.
For this project I have designed two symbols, paired with their own logotype, a vareity of avatars featuring the symbol with different colors and stylization, and social media headers that similarily features the full logotype.
The RainGG icon comes in two variants, a circle variant, and a hexagon variant. The hexagon represents the “shine”, an recurring icon in the Super Smash Bros. game series. The circle shaped icon is used in the default RainGG logo, while the shine-shaped icon is used to represent RainGG’s Smash Bros. production crew.

The full logotype consists of the symbol paired with a wordmark. RainGG is capitalized in the Roboto font, and the GG is boxed on a second line. Using the open space next to the boxed GG, I also added the word Smash to the RainGG Smash variant. While the logo design has done a great job at building RainGG’s brand over the years, I believe the typography needs a redesign to fit with today’s modern design standard.

While the basic RainGG profile is barely used as the team’s work is mainly based on Smash events at the moment, I picked a seafoam green as the primary color for the profile’s design.

RainGG Smash’s profile originally had faded red as the primary color, the design later shifted primary colors to cardinal red, and finally to red brown. RainGG Smash has also had various themed designs for shorter periods of time as a way to promote events.
